Este fue el mail (*) que me acaba de llegar notificándome como ganador de la edición 2008 de Mobifest, en Toronto, Canadá, como mejor corto hecho para un móvil, con "El Artista". Primero Siemens en Alemania, luego Movistar en España, pasando por varios otros festivales en Barcelona, Madrid, Inglaterra, Estados Unidos. Ahora En Canadá, patrocinado por Palm, tengo la fortuna de haber ganado en Mobifest (www.mobifest.ca), ya con este son 9 festivales que he ganado en el mundo, y con esto sigo siendo "el man de los celulares", como si el cine fuera diferente porque se produjera con diferentes tecnologías... Cine solo hay uno, y el de los teatros y DVDs la gran mayoría es teatro disfrazado de fotografía, iluminación y por último de montaje. Hay que honrrar a Melies y a Vertov cada que hagamos una película, no se trata de qué puede hacer el cine por un realizador, sinó qué puede hacer un realizador por el cine!
